Twinings Tea! I'm saved!
Aarhus is the second largest city in Denmark and the principal port. The name means river mouth or delta; the current spelling -- which originated in the 15th century -- was re-instituted in 2011, although many signs and official documents still use the 1948-reformed spelling: Århus.
A bishopric dates to 951 AD, but Viking settlements -- vestiges of which are found in the basements of many buildings where they were turned up during excavations -- indicate Århus is the oldest major city in Denmark.
