Oliviero Rainaldi's bronze of Pope John Paul II was blasted by the Vatican when it was unveiled before Rome's Termini Train Station.
I thought it humane and welcoming as he seemed to be opening his cloak to shelter the traveler.
The Vatican insisted on changes which the artist agreed to changing the cloak and the angle of the head.
